How to Customize and Assign Lead Layouts for Teams?
Lead Layout
A Lead Layout defines how lead fields are arranged and displayed for a team in the Lead Box.
- Each team can use only one lead layout at a time
- Every lead layout contains nine default system fields
- Default system fields cannot be removed, only rearranged
What Are the Prerequisites for Creating a Lead Layout?
Before creating a lead layout:
- Required custom fields must be created in the Master Field List
- Required stages must already exist in the system
Lead layouts can only use fields that are available in the master configuration.
To Create Custom Fields in the Master Field List, Follow These Steps:
- Click the Menu and select the Lead Box option.
- Click Lead Box Configuration in the top right corner to open the configuration settings.
- Navigate to the Master Field List section.
- Click Add Field and enter the field details:
- Field Name
- Field Type such as Text Box, Date Picker, or Dropdown
- Field Length or Options, if applicable
- Field Name
- Click Save.
Repeat these steps to create all required fields. Once saved, the fields become available for layout customization.
To Create a New Lead Layout, Follow These Steps:
- From the configuration settings, navigate to Lead Layout Customization.
- Click Create New Lead Layout in the top right corner.
- In the pop-up window:
- Enter the Layout Name
- Enter the First Section Name, such as Lead Info
- Enter the Layout Name
- Click Create Layout.
The newly created layout will be added alongside the default layout.
To Add Fields to a Lead Layout Section, Follow These Steps:
- Select the required Lead Layout from the list.
- Navigate to the Field Section within the layout.
- Review the nine default system fields displayed.
- Click Add Field and choose Add Multiple Fields.
- Select the required fields from the Master Field List.
- Choose the section where the fields should appear, such as Lead Info.
- Click Save.
The selected fields are now mapped to the lead layout.
To Assign a Lead Layout to a Team, Follow These Steps:
- Click the Menu, select Admin, and open Hierarchy Management.
- Locate the required team and click the Action button.
- Select Edit to open the team settings.
- Navigate to the Lead Layout Selection option.
- Select the required lead layout and click Save.
The selected layout is now assigned to the team.
To Verify the Assigned Lead Layout in the Lead Box, Follow These Steps:
- Navigate to the Lead Box.
- Open an existing lead or click New Lead.
- Review the displayed fields.
You will see:
- The nine default system fields
- All custom fields added through the assigned lead layout
Can Different Teams Have Different Lead Layouts?
Yes. Different teams can have different lead layouts, but only one layout can be active per team at any time.
