Field Mapping in the Lead Box

Field Mapping controls the visibility and behavior of fields in the Lead Box based on conditions such as lead stage or selected field values.

Using field mapping, you can:

  • Show or hide fields based on lead stage
  • Display specific fields only when required
  • Control dropdown values dynamically
  • Reduce clutter in the Lead Info page

Where Can You Configure Field Mapping?

Field mapping is configured from the Lead Layout Customization section within Lead Box configuration.

To Access Field Mapping Settings, Follow These Steps:

  1. Click the Menu and select the Lead Box option.
  2. Click Lead Box Configuration in the top right corner to open the configuration settings.
  3. Navigate to Lead Layout Customization.
  4. Select the Mapping section.

What Types of Field Mapping Are Available?

Field mapping supports the following mapping types:

  • Field Value to Field Mapping
    Used to show or hide a field based on a specific dropdown value.
  • Field to Field Mapping
    Used to show or hide a field based on any value selected in another field.
  • Dropdown Value to Dropdown Value Mapping
    Used to control which dropdown values appear based on another dropdown selection.

To Map a Field Based on a Specific Field Value, Follow These Steps:

Example: Show Follow-up Date only when Lead Stage is Follow-up.

  1. In the Mapping section, click Add Mapping.
  2. Select Mapping Type as Field Value to Field Mapping.
  3. Select the Master Field, such as Lead Stage.
  4. Select the Master Field Value, such as Follow-up.
  5. Select the Sub Field, such as Follow-up Date.
  6. Click Save.

The selected field will appear only when the specified field value is chosen.

To Verify Field Value Based Mapping, Follow These Steps:

  1. Navigate back to the Lead Box.
  2. Open an existing lead.
  3. Observe that the mapped field is not visible initially.
  4. Change the master field value to the mapped condition.

The mapped field will now appear in the Lead Info section.

To Map a Field Based on Any Value of Another Field, Follow These Steps:

Example: Show a field whenever any Lead Stage value is selected.

  1. Navigate to Lead Layout Customization and open the Mapping section.
  2. Click Add Mapping.
  3. Select Mapping Type as Field to Field Mapping.
  4. Select the Master Field, such as Lead Stage.
  5. Select the Sub Field that should appear.
  6. Click Save.

The sub field will appear only when the master field has a selected value.

To Map Dropdown Values Based on Another Dropdown Selection, Follow These Steps:

Example: Show Service options only when the Lead Stage is On Hold.

  1. Navigate to Lead Layout Customization and open the Mapping section.
  2. Click Add Mapping.
  3. Select Mapping Type as Field Value to Field Value Mapping.
  4. Select the Master Field, such as Lead Stage.
  5. Select the Master Field Value, such as On Hold.
  6. Select the Sub Field, such as Services.
  7. Select one or more Sub Field Values to be displayed.
  8. Click Save.

Only the selected dropdown values will be visible when the mapped condition is met.

To Verify Dropdown Value Mapping, Follow These Steps:

  1. Open the Lead Box.
  2. Open a lead record.
  3. Observe that the dropdown field is hidden or empty initially.
  4. Change the master dropdown value to the mapped condition.

The configured dropdown values will now appear.

Can Existing Field Mappings Be Removed?

Yes. If a field mapping is no longer required:

  1. Navigate to the Mapping section.
  2. Locate the existing mapping.
  3. Click Delete.

The mapping will be removed immediately.
