How to Enable Web-Based Calling in the Lead Box?
Web-Based Calling
Web-based calling allows you to make and receive calls directly from the CRM using a browser-based softphone. Calls are connected within the web interface instead of your mobile device.
What Is Required to Enable Web-Based Calling?
To enable web-based calling, ensure the following:
- Google Chrome browser is installed
- Smartflow Softphone Chrome extension is available
- A 13-digit extension number, username, and password are provided by the telephony provider
To Install the Smartflow Softphone Chrome Extension, Follow These Steps:
- Open a new tab in the Chrome browser.
- Search for Smartflow Softphone Chrome Web Store.
- Open the Smartflow Softphone page from the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Add Extension.
Once installed, a confirmation message will indicate that the Smartflow Softphone extension has been added to Chrome.
To Configure the Softphone Extension in Your CRM Profile, Follow These Steps:
- Log in to the CRM.
- Click the Welcome option in the top right corner.
- Select Profile.
- In the Profile window, navigate to the Personal Info section.
- Enter the 13-digit extension number provided with the Smartflow software.
- Scroll down and click Save.
The extension number will now be saved to your profile.
To Log In to the Smartflow Softphone Extension, Follow These Steps:
- Click the Extensions icon in the top right corner of the Chrome browser.
- Select Smartflow Softphone from the list.
- In the login window, enter the Login ID and Password provided by the telephony provider.
- Click Login.
Once logged in, the extension will be connected to the web-based calling system.
To Make an Outbound Call Using Web-Based Calling, Follow These Steps:
- Open the CRM.
- Navigate to Call Logs.
- Click the Call option.
- Enter the lead or customer phone number.
- Click Call.
The call will be connected directly through the web interface instead of your mobile phone.
What Happens When a Lead or Customer Calls Back?
When a lead or customer calls back:
- The incoming call is connected directly within the web-based softphone
- The call does not route to your mobile device
Where Are Web-Based Calls Handled?
All outbound and inbound calls are handled within the browser-based softphone window, allowing you to communicate with leads without using your mobile phone.
