How to Integrate Wacto WhatsApp with CRM and Add WhatsApp Templates?
What Does Wacto WhatsApp Integration Enable?
Wacto WhatsApp integration allows you to:
- Connect your Wacto WhatsApp account with the CRM
- Send WhatsApp messages directly from the CRM
- Add approved WhatsApp templates to the Content Manager
- Use WhatsApp templates in Lead Box and Journeys
Part 1: Integrating Wacto WhatsApp with CRM
Before starting the integration, ensure:
- You have access to your Wacto WhatsApp account
- You are logged in to the CRM
- The API Key is available in your Wacto WhatsApp profile
To Generate or Locate the API Key in Wacto WhatsApp, Follow These Steps:
- Log in to your Wacto WhatsApp account.
- Click your Profile Name in the top right corner.
- Select My Profile.
- Locate the API Key on the profile page.
- Copy the API Key.
Keep this page open for reference.
To Integrate Wacto WhatsApp with CRM, Follow These Steps:
- Log in to the CRM.
- Click the three-line (menu) icon.
- Select Integration.
- Click WhatsApp.
- Locate the Wacto WhatsApp option and click Connect.
- In the pop-up window:
- Paste the API Key copied from Wacto WhatsApp
- Paste the API Key copied from Wacto WhatsApp
- Click Save Integration.
A confirmation message will appear indicating that WhatsApp has been integrated successfully.
How Can You Verify the Integration?
- Refresh the Integration page.
- Click WhatsApp again.
- Confirm that the Wacto WhatsApp account shows as connected.
Part 2: Creating or Selecting a WhatsApp Template in Wacto WhatsApp
WhatsApp templates are created and managed within the Wacto WhatsApp Templates section and must be approved before use.
To Create or View a WhatsApp Template in Wacto WhatsApp, Follow These Steps:
- In your Wacto WhatsApp account, navigate to Templates.
- Click Manage Templates.
- To create a new template:
- Click Add New Template
- Enter the Template Name
- Select the Category
- Enter the Message Content
- Add variables and action buttons if required
- Submit the template for approval
- Click Add New Template
- To use an existing template:
- Select the approved template from the list
- Select the approved template from the list
Copy the Template Name and Message Content for use in the CRM.
Part 3: Adding the Wacto WhatsApp Template to CRM Content Manager
WhatsApp templates are added to the CRM using the Content Manager.
To Create a WhatsApp Template in Content Manager, Follow These Steps:
- Click the three-line (menu) icon in the CRM.
- Select Content Manager.
- Click Create Template.
- Enter the Template Name.
- Use the same name as in Wacto WhatsApp
- Use the same name as in Wacto WhatsApp
- Select Template Type as WhatsApp.
- Select Access as Public.
- Click Next.
To Validate the Template Name, Follow These Steps:
- Paste the same Template Name used in Wacto WhatsApp.
- Confirm the green tick mark appears.
- This indicates the template name is valid and recognized.
- This indicates the template name is valid and recognized.
- Click Next.
To Add Message Content and Map Variables, Follow These Steps:
- Paste the message content copied from Wacto WhatsApp.
- If the template should be used only in the Lead Box:
- Select Model as Lead Box
- Select Model as Lead Box
- Identify variable placeholders in the message.
- Remove placeholder values.
- Insert CRM fields:
- Select Lead Fields
- Choose fields such as First Name
- Select Lead Fields
- Add additional values such as:
- Agent Name
- Agent Mobile Number
- Agent Name
- Review the content carefully.
- Click Save.
The WhatsApp template is now successfully created in the CRM.
Where Can This Template Be Used?
Once saved:
- The template can be used in the Lead Box
- The template can be used in Journeys
- The same template can also be used for marketing communication, unless restricted by model selection
